Etiquette:

This ball does not exist as a prom alternative. Balls are attended primarily by families and everyone will be given dance cards for the evening!

In keeping with our purpose, we practice historical etiquette.

“At private assemblies, it should be the effort of both ladies and gentlemen to render themselves as agreeable as possible to all parties…”
~Martine’s Hand-book of Etiquette, and Guide to True Politeness, 1866

But above all else, we wish to show Christ to one another and maintain gender specific roles.

Gentlemen should practice leadership, initiative, and courtesy by seeing to the needs of all ladies present, asking a variety of young ladies to dance, and being pleasant to all.

Likewise, ladies should practice patience and respect, being agreeable to all the gentlemen present. They should also be aware that being asked to dance is a privilege and not a sign of particular attachment.
